stat - display file or filesystem status
stat [-c FORMAT] file...
Options you will use
-c FORMAT, --format=FORMAT- Use FORMAT: %n name, %s size, %a octal mode, %A human mode, %U user, %G group, %i inode, %h link count.
-L, --dereference- Follow links: show the file a symlink points to.
-c, --format FORMAT- Print only what FORMAT asks for: %a mode, %U owner, %s size, %i inode.
