`pkill` - signal processes by name or other attribute

pkill [-SIGNAL] [-f] [-u user] PATTERN

Options you will use

-f: Match against the full command line, not just the process name.
-u user: Only this user's processes.
-x: Require an exact name match.

Gotchas

Dry-run with pgrep first. pkill -f on a loose pattern will happily match your own shell.
