nstat - network statistics tool
nstat [-a] [-z] [PATTERN...]Options you will use
-a- absolute values, not deltas since the last run
-z- include zero counters
Examples
$ nstat -az TcpExtListenOverflows TcpExtListenDropshas the accept queue overflowed
Gotchas
- Without -a nstat prints the change since you last ran it, so run it twice a minute apart to see a rate.
