`networkctl` - Query or modify the status of network links (systemd-networkd)

networkctl [OPTIONS...] COMMAND [LINK...]

Options you will use

list: every link: type, operational state, setup state (default)
status [LINK]: addresses, gateway, DNS and which .network file configured it

Examples

$ networkctl

is enp0s1 routable and configured?

$ networkctl status enp0s1

where its address came from

Gotchas

On Ubuntu Server netplan writes /run/systemd/network/10-netplan-*.network and systemd-networkd applies it; networkctl asks networkd.
