fstrim - discard unused blocks on a mounted filesystem
fstrim [-Aa] [-v] MOUNTPOINT
Options you will use
-a, --all- Trim every mounted file system that supports it.
-v, --verbose- Print how many bytes were trimmed.
Gotchas
- On a thin-provisioned VM disk (qcow2) this hands freed space back to the host.
Try fstrim in a real terminal Free, in your browser - a real Ubuntu terminal to try it in, with missions that check your work.
