dmesg - print or control the kernel ring buffer
dmesg [-T] [-l LEVEL] [-w]
Options you will use
-T, --ctime- Human-readable timestamps instead of seconds since boot.
-l LEVEL- Only this level: err, warn, info.
-w, --follow- Wait for new messages.
Gotchas
- Needs root on Ubuntu (kernel.dmesg_restrict=1).
journalctl -kis the same data through the journal.
