ansible-config - View ansible configuration
ansible-config {list,dump,view,init,validate} [options]
Options you will use
--only-changed, --changed-only- With dump: only the settings not at their default.
-c, --config CONFIG_FILE- Path to the configuration file.
-t, --type TYPE- Filter down to a specific plugin type.
Examples
$ ansible-config dump --only-changedwhich file did my settings come from?
$ ansible-config init --disabled > ansible.cfga commented starting point
Gotchas
- Config is read from the first of: $ANSIBLE_CONFIG, ./ansible.cfg (ignored in a world-writable directory), ~/.ansible.cfg, /etc/ansible/ansible.cfg. Only one file is used; ANSIBLE_* env vars override it.
- A misspelled key is silently ignored: dump --only-changed shows what really took effect.
